San Diego State University's (SDSU) Snapdragon Stadium boasts cutting-edge AVL capabilities following a major installation by CGI. Nationally recognized for academic excellence, SDSU strives to deliver the best experience possible during its popular sporting events, and in a community-driven move, has partnered with surrounding residents’ groups, allowing locals to utilize the venue.

Truly putting the university stadium on the map required a major AV overhaul in and around its entertainment zones. As part of this redevelopment, CGI seized the chance to deploy a sourced video production system in a Division1 school for the first time, and the venue now has a video offering worthy of a professional sports team!

CGI also designed and installed impressive audio upgrades; the sound system’s Speech Transmission Index numbers have enabled much-improved audio clarity during games, from spoken word to musical intervals, thanks to the PA’s fidelity and intelligibility. From LED systems to broadcast production hubs,and a new, self-powered loudspeaker in the bowl, CGI has helped to propel SDSU into an ultra-modern educational facility.
