2012 sees the return of “Gigantour”, the touring rock festival founded by Dave Mustaine, and once again headlined by Megadeth. This year’s line-up offers a true international flavor, with Motorhead from the United Kingdom, Volbeat from Denmark and Lacuna Coil from Italy as guests on this high energy show.
Clair is proud to have supplied Gigantour with an audio package which highlights two of our more recent developments. The house PA is Clair Vision, the Vertical Surface Array system which has proven successful since its inception in late 2010, and has since been utilized with The Allmann Brothers, Ozzy Osbourne and Motley Crue. Onstage, the newly-launched Clair CM-22 wedge is provided. This high-power, high-fidelity enclosure is the latest in a long line of famed Clair monitors, and is proving extremely popular with both monitor engineers and artists alike.
Front of House control is both digital and analog, with a Digidesign Venue for Megadeth, Volbeat and Lacuna Coil, whereas Motorhead make use of a Midas Heritage 3000. Outboard equipment includes items from TC Electronics, Klark-Teknik, Yamaha, Roland and Avalon.
In addition to the previously mentioned CM-22 wedges, the monitor system includes Yamaha PM5D consoles, Sennheiser IEM systems and flown i-Dl enclosures for sidefills, supplemented with BT218 sub-woofers. All of the stage monitor enclosures are powered via Clair Stak-Raks, incorporating Lab Gruppen amplifiers packaged for maximum space and interconnect effectiveness.
