2008 TEC Award Winner – Tour Sound Production
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees The Police embarked on a 30 year reunion tour in Vancouver on May 28, 2007. The Police performed a greatest hits set to sold out arena and stadium audiences across the globe. The fat lady finally sang when The Police tour wrapped the tour in New York City at Madison Square Garden on August 7, 2008.
FOH mixer Mike Keating selected a Clair i-4 line array with flown SLP extended low end enclosures and an SLP steered sub array for both arenas and stadiums. A Yamaha PM5000 handled FOH mixing duties. Monitor Mixer Ian Newton implemented a Yamaha PM1D to manage a multitude of in-ear and 12am wedge mixes.
