Working under the exquisite design perimeters of GBS Architects, CGI’s first major project with the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company was a five-year technical design and engineering journey to remember. Doused in modern luxury at every turn, the 35 story building’s aesthetic gives a nod to the Pacific Northwest’s stunning skylines, Cascade Mountain Range, Willamette River and ancient woodlands; the hotel lobby is named ‘Forest Hall’, and immediately draws guests into the majesty of the surrounding nature.

This natural design ethos is found throughout the pioneering 251 room property which includes a luxurious spa that takes inspiration from the petals of a Portland rose, an infinity pool, an ultra-stylish club lounge and amenities such as a 16,000sq ft event space, fitness and yoga studios.

CGI designed and engineered audio and video distribution, drapery control, background music for the venue’s conferencing needs and general entertainment in spaces. In total, 24 spaces utilized the skills of CGI and subcontractors, multidisciplinary electrical firm Dynalectric, to truly elevate the guest experience. Every corner in this build enjoys ambient soundscapes with purposefully discreet custom, color-matched speakers maintaining the desired high-end finish.
