• Built custom sound system for the cutting-edge, massive 300’ x 600’ feet, six-story-tall scoreboard.
• Installed complete back-of-house audio and A/V systems.
• Fabricated and installed the stadium’s main bowl sound system.
• Networked A/V control systems in each of the 260 suites.
• Rigged 32 large-format line arrays and 82 high-output fill loudspeakers.
• Installed 2.5 million feet of broadcast cable.
• Installed TV and displays in main venue, as well as, suites, main thoroughfares, bathrooms, etc. This included LED walls located in the interview rooms and fantasy football zone.
• CGI was involved from the beginning, kicking off this project three years prior to construction and working two more years to reach completion.
The sheer size of the venue paired with it being new construction with the highest finishes of any NFL stadium made for a complex project. Every system type (main bowl, concourses, clubs, suites, conference rooms, locker rooms, exterior, etc.) required customized AV integration. The scoreboard itself is wider and longer than the football field, (with catwalks, staircases, etc.), which presented logistical engineering challenges. Beginning with custom array frames for the massive clusters, which had to fit into spaces within the scoreboard structure with as little as ¼-inch clearance, the Clair Global Integration (CGI) team then had to rig them into place while the six-story-tall scoreboard was sitting on stilts just sixteen feet off the ground during fabrication. When complete, it was then pulled up by giant hydraulic cable climbers, up to the top center of the stadium 120-feet off the ground. Combining this with the hundreds of other moving parts within the scope of this project, plus the unexpected arrival and devastation of Covid-19, required all of us to take diligent steps to remain healthy and focused.
Clair Global Integration is the bridge from construction to production. Our expertise allows us to act as operators alongside the building’s owner, designers, and architects, to make anticipatory suggestions that will help clients invest in systems during construction that will support the facility and deliver the ultimate fan experience for years to come. This anticipatory approach wasn’t more noticeable than during Super Bowl LVI. From the moment fans stepped foot on to the Hollywood Park campus, to kick off and the exhilarating halftime show, to the post event celebrations, the Clair Global Companies (CGI, Pro Media Audio Video, ATK Audiotek, and Eighth Day Sound) leveraged the choices made during construction to deliver a memorable fan experience for one of the world’s largest sporting events. Live entertainment, “the show”, is in our DNA, so we bring that experience into the world of construction.
