The EDITION line of hotels is in the upper echelon of Marriott International’s brands with the Times Square EDITION opening and taking boutique luxury deep into the twenty-first century. Clair Global Integration (CGI), with its fifty-plus-year history in live performance, was assigned the honor of taking the newly-constructed hotel’s audio, video, lighting, system control and broadcast infrastructure to the edge of what’s technologically possible, now and into the future.
For this project our team was required to wear two hats: as audio/video/lighting/control consultant and as the integrator that brings it all together under extremely high expectations. Upgrading everything AVL within the hotel proper, each of its 452 rooms, and within the hotel’s on-premises 200-seat performance entertainment venue – The Paradise Club – along with The Terrace and Outdoor Gardens, plus multiple VIP Rooms and more, required the juggling of numerous quickly moving parts to complete project on time. It worked well. With precision teamwork relying on decades of experience and expertise, we were able to complete the job with flying colors with all parties involved pleased with how it all came together.
