Reston, Virginia, is a sprawling urban area and a fine example of modern luxury living which includes Reston Row, a transformative mixed-use construction ensemble. From meeting rooms to hotels, residential apartments and coworking spaces, Reston offers a world of comfort and connectivity while also being home to a pioneering kinetic sculpture.

At the heart of this residential architectural feat is a stunning beacon of kinetic video technology, effectively a video wall built on rotating pillars. From movie nights to ambient backgrounds, and OB truck connectivity for local press broadcasts, the sculpture has multiple uses.

CGI was commissioned by Chief Creatologist Danny Barnycz of the Barnycz Group, during the detailed design phase and systems commissioning, and is responsible for the sculpture’s infrastructure, control room racks, headend equipment, and complex video programming.
