The Navy Yard in Philadelphia, PA is a superior example of a repurposed Armed Forces site, one of the East Coast’s must-visit places for sympathetic and sustainable building renovations. Clair Global Integration was tasked with helping this community-driven development to find a technical solution that could show the site’s transformation in a virtual environment as the physical construction continues to evolve.
Realizing the need for a truly bespoke solution, the CGI team devised the concept of using a Digital Twin as a dynamic virtual representation of the space, used in alignment with a reactive 3D model. Combining cutting edge technologies from VR and XR, commercial and residential customers can become fully immersed in the regeneration of this historically rich site.
Set in 1,200 acres of waterfront real estate, the venture will generate long-term employment, strengthen the community, and forge new opportunities for Philadelphia’s entrepreneurial residents. With an ever-expanding workforce - currently over 15,000 - occupying roles in industrial, R&D and institutional spaces alongside teams of office and retail professionals, the area is already home to Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern PA, Pennsylvania Horticultural society, Architecture, Urban Design and Policy LLC and many more thriving businesses.
